Kona is our first Kai-Ken, he is black brindle [Kuro-Tora]. We chose Kona because of his primitive features - he looks more like the original breed than many of the Kai in America. Kona is an interesting dog. Like the description of the breed dictates, Kona is very loyal and has bonded very strongly with us. He is an intelligent, highly alert dog that lets us know right away if something's not right. Kona is very stoic in his facial expression, but his tail says it all. We call him "Tank" because he is such a solid little man. His confidence and amazing structure make him the perfect candidate for breeding.
